Leo J. Spaccavento, MD, FACC, FSCAI, attended Hahnemann School of Medicine, now Drexel University College of Medicine, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and received his medical degree in 1978. Then, he served his internship at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland (1978-1979). Furthermore, he conducted his internal medicine residency at Stanford University School of Medicine in California (1979-1981). In addition, he completed his fellowship training in cardiology at Wright-Patterson Medical Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio (1981-1982). In addition, Dr. Spaccavento received board certification in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine. And, he remains at the forefront of his challenging specialty via memberships and affiliations with prestigious professional societies and associations. Moreover, he attained fellowship of the American College of Cardiology and The Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.
